TGIF, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a long and CRAZY week and I'm soooooooo happy it's over. I am completely OFF this weekend!!!!!!!! Can't wait to get it started ... you can catch me at the BEACH!!!!!

Just a few of the things that describe me best. I work hard to be all that I am, and it ain't easy let me tell you. Some may look at the word as a derogatory term, and in most cases it is meant that way. Used by many who can't or don't know how to deal with a strong-willed woman who doesn't bend with the wind. Or someone who will tell you exactly what's on her mind without a care of how you'll take it. Or maybe that chick who knows she doesn't want to talk to you so won't waste any time taking your number or giving you hers. Doesn't sound to bad a title, if you ask me. Don't get it wrong now ... calling me a bitch in the wrong sense might ignite a fire you can't handle, simply because I know what you are TRYING to say. But in my world it's used as a term of endearment and friendship ... i.e., I roll with BADD BITCHES.

Yesterday was my son's 3rd B~day ... I had to work so the Hubby took all the kids to the park and out to eat. I brought home cake & ice cream and we had a mini-blast celebrating Devin's 3rd year alive!!! Today we're going to Chuck*E*Cheese's so the babies can run wild!!!!

The Secret

I ran across something yesterday that really intrigued me. Obviously, because I'm writing about it here. It was a video on the Law of Attraction, which from what I gather is nothing new. It's been around since forever and what it basically states is that whatever is in our lives, be it good or bad is something that we've attracted ourselves. It also states that whatever reality you've come to know can be altered as much as you'd like simply by changing what you attract to your self. This really struck home for me because I was trying to practice this without even knowing that a principle existed on it. I made up my mind a loooong time ago that I didn't want any negative forces in my life if I could help it. A long journey later, I truly do feel more at peace due to eliminating the things that were draining me. I've surrounded myself with people who I KNOW have my best interest at heart and who really love me. And I FEEL the difference. But this video went on to discuss and portray how this principle can and should be used through out your entire life, yielding benefits beyond your wildest dreams. I must admit, the scenarios that were displayed seemed a little far-fetched to me ... but all the same it's worth a try if they say it's that easy. What I truly believe is that visualizing what you really want helps make the dream more real for you, which in turns makes you work harder to get it becasue you feel like you're almost there. New Year, New Me

I do realize that we are well into February but this is my first post and I want to start from the beginning ... goals & aspirations.

2009 has already proved to be the YEAR for CHANGE in more ways than one, especially for me. A new outlook on life just seems necessary. Afterall, you keep doing the same shyt and you'll keep getting the same shyt, right??? Overall, I have no complaints about my life but of course I have dreams. Being the true TAURUS that I am, I procrastinate a hell of a lot. So my main goal for this year is to be more proactive with my WRITING and take the necessary steps to be where I want to be. Granted, I've made great strides in the past year alone ... that I am proud of. But I want more. Nothing wrong with that, right?!?!? I also made a vow this year to get my health and fitness in order. As of today, I'm a slacker. However, I've lost a total of 11 lbs since I started my workout regimen on Jan. 6 {toot,toot} I've got a long way to go, I know. But I'm getting there and damnit, I ain't gaining ... so I'm happy. Those are my 2 major goals so far for 09'. There are other little things that I am working on as well, like saying NO to NEGATIVE forces in my life. This YEAR has me really excited. Not sure if it's the PERSONLIZED motivation or what ... but it's working!!!
