30 Day Challenge and beyond!

Can you believe that it's the last day of January already?! This year is going to fly by just like last year! Or maybe it's just me, they say once you turn 25 time flies. I joke around that the the next time I look up I'll be 30 o_O ... No, seriously, I'm looking forward to it!! 30 means that my babies aren't babies anymore and that my hectic life will have calmed ALL the way down ((I'm sure I'm going to read this at 30 and laugh at myself ☺))

So, I've decided to do a 30 day blogging challenge, along with all the other changes I'm making beginning with February. Gonna work out ((I swear!!)) Gonna eat right ((no promises ☺)) And I'm going to do a 7 day detox, that will simply include drinking only water and eating mostly raw with minimal cooking, and eating no red meat along with my vities & supplements. The red meat, I think, will be permanent. Let's just see how I do for one week and go from there, lol!

Back to the blogging challenge! I need to get back in the habit of writing daily and I think I'll enjoy this one. I have no idea where I got it from since I saved it sometime last year before I had Cort and life went from 0 to 60. I'll post it here if anyone wants to join me. Make sure to let me know so I can follow! BTW, I'm always looking for cool blogs and ppl for entertainment and motivation so feel free to leave your links, also ☺

Anywho, here we go ....

Hey there ...

Happy New Year!

It's been a very long time since I blogged. And even longer since I've consistently updated the site. One of my resolutions this year is to make more time for what has been bumped down to like my 5th love, lol ... writing. Journaling, to be more specific. It's always been my outlet, and let me be the first to tell you that I NEED an outlet right about now. So much of my life has changed, that I really just need to sort through everything that I'm feeling and going through. So bare with me as I sort, feel around, motivate, get motivated, inspire while being inspired. All of that and much more. As you know, if you've read my previous posts, I'm a work at home Mommy ☺ So, I will be posting anything I find to help out other moms (or dads) who want to make a living while staying at home with their babies. I'll also still be my same uplifting self! Can't help it, even when I'm going through the ringer myself. It's a part of who I am & I love it, so get used to it.

In the end, all anyone wants to be is happy. But what is happy?! Well, I've learned that happy is different for everyone. You have to decide for yourself and then accept nothing less.

Do It Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

How to avoid cabin fever when working from home

One of the great things about working outside of the home is getting out of the house every day! The sunshine wakes you up and you stay connected with the outside world by mingling with co-workers and passers-by. When working a job that requires set hours or a lot of hours, it’s very easy to spend the entire day indoors. You might even begin to make convenient changes to avoid having to go outdoors when everything else you need is right at your fingertips, so to speak. It’s important, however, to make sure that you do get out of the house in some way shape or form to avoid cabin fever. Being confined indoors for extended periods of time can not only lead to you burning out more quickly, it can also leave you out of touch with the real world! Finding a balance is the key and living in Orlando makes it super easy because there is always something to do! Here a few tips on how to create a healthy balance when what you do keeps you indoors. Is an at-home business or job right for you?

Working from home could mean, for some, the perfect career. In most cases you set your own hours and have very minimal supervision. No annoying co-workers or over –bearing supervisors watching your every move. You can cut numerous expenses, such as child care, commute and wardrobe. However, working from home is not for everyone! It takes self-discipline and a lot of focus to be surrounded by your comfort zone and still be productive. Distractions from every angle are ever present, including all of the things that you really want to be doing (i.e. TV, Facebook, etc.). Even some other things that you’d normally put off (i.e. chores) are within your peripheral view and for some reason, become harder to ignore. Children and pets are also huge distractions when trying to put in hours at an at-home career.  And since there is no one standing over you, the temptations are very easy to indulge in. Below are some tips on what you can expect when working from home and how to avoid or overcome them should you choose to move forward with your at-home career. READ ENTIRE ARTICLE
